Tommy Gros, ”Tommy G” is a singer/songwriter born on April 22, 1962 in Amelia, Louisiana . Tommy has been the front man for several bands over the last twenty-two years. In 2001 he released his first original recording, “Merry Christmas to You O’ Lord” with the band “Bayou Country”. This song has been the number one requested Christmas song on Louisiana radio stations since its release. After the disbandment of “Bayou Country”, Tommy decided to Form his own group. In 2005 he began auditioning musicians and put together the band now known as “Tommy G and Stormy Weather”. As their popularity grew Tommy began performing at venues across the state. In July of 2009 Tommy released his first cd with “Stormy Weather”. This thirteen track cd includes the song “Stormy Weather” written by Tommy after hurricanes Katrina and Rita. On August 7, 2010 Tommy released four original recordings to radio stations. On September 6, 2010 the eight track cd was released to the public at the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. This cd includes the title cut “ Only You and Me Tonight” along with three other songs written by Tommy. “Cajun Crawfish Boil”, “Little Monkey and “I’ll be Daddy” have all become crowd favorites at live shows. In 2011 the group released a video for "Only You and Me Tonight" which has opened many doors and has been viewed over 10,000 times in its first three months online. Tommy's music has been sold online in fourteen diffrent countries. Tommy G. and Stormy Weather are known for their live performances. The way they dance and move on stage make their peformances exciting and fun for the crowd. They play the some of the best "Jitter Bug" tunes known to man. He is also known for his original songs that touch home for every one. The group is managed by Black Eye Productions out of Morgan City, La. The band includes Tommy G. on piano and accordion Phil Richard on lead guitar ,fiddle and vocals , Julian Aucoin on rhythm guitar and vocals, Troy Billiot on bass guitar and vocals, Jarred "Pookie" Gros on saxophone, washboard and vocals and Karl Mabile on drums.
